The depraved dentist D K Molar, and his noxious nurse, Nova Caine, have crafted a dastardly scheme: after putting their patients to sleep with nitrous oxide, they remove their gold crowns and replace them with fakes made of fools gold.

The unsuspecting patients are none the wiser. That is until Dr. Molar's new receptionist, the lovely Flossie Dailey, starts chewing over some of the strange happenings in the office. With Phil deTooth, an upstanding young dentist, she discovers Molar is prospecting for more than overbites. Molar, true to his calling, pulls a gun on them and threatens to drill anyone who tries to stop him.

Brace yourself for the hilarious climax (which involves escaping laughing gas), it's guaranteed to be the most enjoyable visit to the dentist you have ever had.

Info

This murder mystery spoofs more than the Agatha Christie novels in this ‘play within a play’.

When half the cast bails out, the remaining performers are stuck playing all the roles. During the first act, you'll meet a Shakespearean actor with a drinking problem, a washed-up former child star, a bimbo with a short memory, and a hapless costumer who finds herself onstage — playing a man.

During the "play within a play," you'll visit the exclusive clinic of Dr. Charles Ovary, renowned hot flash specialist who's secretly treating a famous actress trying desperately to regain her youth. You'll get to know the doctor's coldly efficient wife, his passionate female protégé, the actresses' hunky husband, a flighty French maid, a shifty handyman, and an inspector investigating the dead body on the Oriental rug.

Will the play make it to Broadway? Will the performers remember their lines? Will the Shakespearean actor fit into the maid's costume? Will the chalk outline come out of the rug? Will the inspector solve the murder? Will another murder occur?

Before the evening's over, someone will be ruthlessly murdered, and it's up to the audience to solve the crime for prizes.

Info

Our hero and heroine, Dashing Dan and Purity Pureheart, are trying to scratch out a living in Gopher Gulch running a hotel when Purity inherits $500 from her deceased father.

Meanwhile, villains Ponzie Makeoff and partner sexy Dee Laylah come to town with a huge insurance and investment scam designed to fleece the town.

The townspeople’s only hope lies with Lavender Bouquet as she must hire an aged ex-con and hitman Rook, to come out of retirement and foil the plans of the dastardly duo.

A villainous insurance agent Ponsie Makeoff and his sexy partner Dee Lylah are tricking and deceiving the townspeople out of their savings. Their actions though deceitful seem to be within the law.

Will Purity lose her inheritance? Will Lavender renew her love for the old flame Rook? Will Dee Laylah charm Dashing Dan out of his love for Purity?

Note: You might remember the Lavender and Rook characters from a previous melodrama entitled “Terror on the Tracks in Old Town Spring” where Lavender was tied to the tracks by Rook with a fast locomotive approaching.

Another Joe Cole/Jennifer Adams original show.
